Happy Friday-Eve! It's a little bit of a snowy one here today, but not even the first sprinkling of snow makes me stop for a fun, new CASE Study! :)
So you know the deal. Be inspired by this card from our muse, Keisha Campbell and get creative!
Check out the original post of this card here.
I was taken by the cool chevron pattern, the light pink and blues, and the flowers. I'm still whipping up Christmas cards so of course a flower gave me the perfect excuse to ink up yet another lovely poinsettia stamp. This time it comes courtesy of Clearly Besotted Stamps' Pretty Poinsettia set. :)
I forget how lovely vellum can be to work with. I used the same technique as I did on this card: simply heat embossed the flower on vellum and shaded it from the reverse side using the most basic, child pencil-crayons ever. No fancy colouring medium here today, folks! :) (FYI Debby totally rocked the vellum poinsettia here for last week's CASE Study. It was Debby's poinsettia that inspired me to try adding dimension to the technique by layering the flower)
Tips and tricks with this project will come in due course as I'm burning the candle at both ends this week. I'm going to be a zombie by the end of it! But I'll be able update this post with supplies etc over the weekend when I get a spare moment. I promise!
In the meantime, please do join in the fun with us. All you need to do is be inspired by Keisha's card and get creative! And remember that you're not limited to cards - just get into the creative flow and share whatever project you create - simple! :)
Need a mojo boost? Then check out how the rest of the CASE Study DT were inspired - you won't leave disappointed!
