Happy Friday-Eve! Let's celebrate it with style, Maile Belles style, as we knuckle down to a new CASE Study!
Today's card is inspired by this beauty of Mailes:
Check out the original post of this card here.
I was taken by the general layout and those strips of colour. Instead of stamping my colour, I used coloured cardstock and stamped my focal point and sentiment. Simple!
- There's a little bit of theory when it comes to this design. Keep the doses of bold colours smaller than the paler colours to help balance the design. I also worked from light to dark across my panels of card.
- When stamping across strips of cardstock, it's easier if you line them up together and adhere them with a temporary adhesive to your work surface. This will reduce of the risk of any strips misbehaving and moving whilst stamping!
- Sentiments don't have to be stamped horizontally on a card. Why not experiment and try stamping a sentiment vertically? You may just like the result...!

It seems it's not only myself that is lovin' having Maile on board as our muse this month; I've been so happy to see so many peeps pick up their supplies and play along with us. I hope you can play along with us this week!
Thanks so much for popping by today - I hope you have a lovely Friday-Eve! :)
