Carried away with chevrons...

Hey!

Yay for the weekend, yay for half-term and yay for holiday! :)

Speaking of holidays (smooth link there, don't ya think?!), Uniko Studio have a holiday-themed Super Free Saturday for you! It's called 'Ho Ho Ho' and I reckon you're gonna love it *wink*

My projects with this freebie are super fast and super simple - my kinda crafting when I've got a suitcase to pack and a million and one other things to do!

First up a simple tag:

Sending you Joy

I simply printed the lovely bauble, coloured, stamped a custom sentiment from the Uniko Studio set Pure Florals: Gebera, threaded silk ribbon through and finished with gems. Easy peasy.

For my next project, I got a little carried away with chevrons:

Celebrate the Season

As soon as I printed that fab, fun chevron DP I just knew that I had to pair it with the chevron trees from my own set, O Christmas Tree. It's a match made in Lapland methinks!

Now I'm no digi master - this is just me printing out and having fun. Be sure to see what the rest of the Uniko Studio DT whipped up, especially the *new* Uniko Studio Digital DT! Oh and be sure to grab the freebie for yourself and have a play with it - digi isn't half as scary as some of you may think, I promise!

Pssst: did you know that Uniko Studio have a sale on? Hurry, it ends on Nov 1st and there's a bargain (or two!) to be had....*wink*

Happy Holidays and Sad Farewells....

Hey!

The day is here! The sneaky peeks from The Craft's Meow October Release we've been showing you the past week are now available to view in full, and purchase!

The Craft's meow

We're celebrating the new release in the traditional TCM way with a blog hop and a chance for you to win the entire release! You should have hopped here from the TCM Blog.

For my blog hop card I combined three sets - I surprised myself with that. Ha!

Happy Holidays

This card features a fab, distressed sentiment from Holiday Foundations; some funky retro snowflakes from Christmas Cheer and some trees from the set that's free with a $50 spend at the TCM Store this month, O Christmas Tree (designed by myself!)

The smaller tree is simply a larger tree trimmed down - easy peasy! I really do have a soft spot for the chevron tree even though there are many other designs to stamp from the set. Just don't tell the other trees in the set, OK? *wink*

In order to qualify for the chance to win the entire October release, be sure to comment on every blog in the hop. Next up is the super Elizabeta Kushner so hop across there for more inspiration!

Now I don't like to end my blog posts on a sad note, but after an amazing 7 months with The Craft's Meow it's now time for me leave. :( I'd like to take the opportunity to thank the whole of the TCM DT (both past and present) for being so fun, fabulous and supportive. I'd also like to extend a HUGE thank you to Lisa, who had so much faith in my designs. I would never have been able to have achieved my dream of designing my own stamp set and getting it manufactured without you, thank you so much! You made this inky gal's dream come true and I'll never forget it :)

Trust me....he'll love it even if you don't!

Hey!

Welcome back for day 3 of the countdown sneaky peeks from The Craft's Meow!

The Craft's meow

As you already know, we're getting festive with this release and today we get to give you a sneaky peek of two more sets - one of which is designed by myself.

First up is a fab set by Karen Baker called Holiday Foundations. I love the grungy feel to it! Now for my sneak peek, you'll either love it or hate it. The good news is that I reckon the recipient will love it.

Merry Christmas

I've been hooked on the TV series and comic graphic novel The Walking Dead. So has my guy. I couldn't help but create a Christmas card inspired by it when I combined those distressed candy stripes, cool font with the splatter stamp from Karen's previous set, Typically Teen. So this card is heading to my guy this year - trust me, he'll love it even if you don't! *wink*

Next up is a set that I designed that is free when you spend $50 at the TCM Store this month. O Christmas Tree takes the stress out of mass producing and masking with your holiday stamping. No more cutting isosceles triangles out for masks and stamping patterns through to make Christmas trees; the hard work has already been done for you! :)

O Christmas Tree

See what I mean? No masking involved, simply stamp and go (to the post office to post this to someone!) There's a variety of trees in the set as well as sentiments, so it takes some of the boredom out of mass producing too - bonus!

Now be sure to leave a comment on the TCM Blog by 9pm PDT tonight if you fancy the chance of winning one of these set! Oh, and while you're over there, take a peek at what the rest of the TCM DT whipped up (especially if you're not a fan of my zombie inspired Christmas card!) :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

One of two sneaky peeks....

Hey!

Ready for day 2 of the October release sneaky peeks from The Craft's Meow? I hope so!
The Craft's meow

Now today we're sharing peeks of two more sets, but you'll only see one on my blogeroo today. Mr Postman is yet to bring the set, Winter Fibi and Lilly by Mabelle R-O, but I can assure you it's a cute set and I guess you'll have to check out the rest of the TCM DT for a good peek at it! :)

However, one set I can give you a peek at is the set, Christmas Cheer also designed by Mabelle R-O. This set has a fun, retro kinda feel to it - great for the guys or gals you're stamping for. I focused in on a funky snowflake stamp and a sentiment for yet another holiday card:

Let it Snow
Tips: Staz-on ink works a treat when stamping on glimmer cardstock.
Place small dots of adhesieve on the reverse side of the embossed snowflakes to avoid marks showing through the vellum.

Vellum. I forget how it can transform a project so easily! I simply stamped snowflakes over a panel of vellum with clear ink and embossed with white embossing powder. My bottom panel of card is actually glimmer cardstock (my camera hasn't picked it up). At first I was going to have snowy hills of glimmer cardstock, but changed my mind and kept it clean and graphic with a straight strip; we can say that the snow is falling evenly on this ground *wink*

Before you dash, be sure to get a good peek at not only this set but the set I haven't been able to ink up yet by checking out the TCM DT. And if you like what you see, then be sure to leave a comment on the TCM Blog by 9pm PDT tonight for your chance to win either set!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by today!

Holidays, TCM Stylee....

Hey!

Happy Monday! Happy sneaky peeks to commence here for the October release at The Craft's Meow!

The Craft's meow

As we hit the October release, we're getting very festive (good for a procrastinator like myself!) and today we're sharing not one, but two sneaky peeks of two sets available from October 25th. We're also welcoming on board with us as a guest designer for October, Emily Keaton!

First up is Christmas Angels by Nina.B which is a set that begged me to go traditional with my seasonal stamping:

NOEL

Super simple but that's my style when whipping up Christmas cards (and cards in general I guess!). I like to produce a few of the same design (not too many - I can't mass produce as my brain gets bored easily!) so it needs to be simple and it's a total bonus if it's flat for posting too *wink*

I decided to stick with the traditional combo of red and green for my next project which gives you a sneak peek of the set, Hearth and Home by Elizabeta Kushner.

happy holidays

Tip: Add detail with a white gel pen to give the shine-factor - because your colouring's 'worth it'! :)

A simple tag that involves repeatedly stamping that cluster of holly and colouring. Not one for mass production as it took me a while to colour this little tag with my markers!

Right, that's two sets sneaky peeked - another four to go! Take a peek at the rest of the TCM DT and if you like what you see today, then be sure to leave a comment on the TCM Blog by 9pm PST tonight. One randomly selected peep will win today's sets!

New challenge, new digs...

Hey!

Happy Saturday! Happy weekend! :)

So it's been a while since I shared a new challenge from A Passion for Papertrey. The reason for this is because we've moved to new digs (Blogger wouldn't play ball so we'be moved to WordPress)

Our new challenge is a friend themed challenge. We want to see your creative projects using at least one PTI product that celebrate friendship.

Here's a card I've whipped up for a friend of mine (just need to pop it in post!)

Girly you rock!

I'm still on the old washi tape bandwagon and covered a die cut butterfly with the stuff. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

So we'd not only love to see you playing along with us, we'd also love it if you could check out our new site (HUGE thanks to Kate for designing it!) and follow it/bookmark it! :)

Keeping it short and sweet today - it's my last weekend before I head  to London to catch a show, (a belated birthday present or my guy) and then hop on a jet plane to Canada. I need to get organised!

Getting a head start on Mother's Day...

Hey!

Swingin' by the ol' blogeroo to announce some happy news (you may have heard it already but I'm late to the celebration party - ha!)

Clearly Besotted Stamps is a new stamp company started by the super talented and lovely, Stephanie. I've known Stephanie since my very early stamping days - in fact it's thanks to herself and Kate that I got introduced to Papertrey Ink and Blogland - they have been there since the start. The rest, as they say, is history!

Anyways, I digress! I'm totally honoured to have been asked by Stephanie to be on her DT! I'm in awesome, talented company - pinch me! Check out the rest of the fabby team here!

I got the stamps on Friday and have been itching to ink them up all weekend. However the wonderful weather this past weekend meant I only had time to whip up one card, but I have more in my mind ready to create, I promise!

Happy Mother's Day2

The rose and leaves from the set 'Blooming Marvellous' were just begging to be paired up with the set 'Happy Everything' IMHO. The result was a very early Mother's Day card - still, better to be early than late, right?!

Now I urge you to check out the Clearly Besotted Stamps store: there's a total of 10 fabulous new stamp sets to feast your eyes upon. I plan on inking my other sets up this week, and lemme tell ya, this gal is not going to be making her Christmas cards during December this year! *wink*

Thank you so much for your visit today!
